The THAA 61st Annual Convention & Southwest Regional Trade Show will be held June 26-28 at the beautiful InterContinental Houston, a few blocks from the Galleria 
shopping area. THAA will once again present one of the finest continuing education programs for licensed hearing aid dispensers found anywhere in the country. Top industry speakers will present 15 hours of continuing education programs approved by the Texas Department of State Health Services for license renewal. Because the convention is being held in late June, THAA will provide on-site CE certificates for dispensers who renew their license in June.

THAA Annual Membership Meeting (2 CE hrs.)
During this year’s THAA Annual Membership Meeting on Thursday afternoon, Rep. Tracy King, THAA President, will update members on the association’s effort to change the dispenser licensing act in the upcoming 2009 session of the Texas Legislature. Members will also receive an update on the new Medicaid rules and rates. In addition, members of the State Licensing Committee will address the membership on important issues before the Committee. Members attending this meeting will receive 2 hours of CE credit (for license renewal in Texas only) and do not have to attend the last CE session on Saturday to complete the full 15 CE hours offered at the convention. Plus, the THAA Dispenser of the Year Award will be given during this meeting. All members are strongly urged to attend this very important meeting! (2 CE hrs. for THAA members only)

15 Continuing Education Hours
THAA is once again presenting one of the finest continuing education programs for licensed hearing aid dispensers found anywhere in the country. Top industry speakers will provide 15 hours of meaningful continuing education with tremendous take-home value for all licensees. Eight hours are offered on Friday, and seven hours on Saturday. Daily registration fees are provided for attendees who do not need the full 15 hours. All of the hours will be approved for license renewal in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and for BC-HIS. Speakers and presentations are shown on the Schedule of Events. Dispensers renewing their license in June with the Texas State Licensing Committee will receive their CE certificates at the convention - in time to file their license renewal information with the Licensing Committee before the end of the month.

THAA 2008 Silent Auction
This is your chance to make bargain purchases and unbelievable deals on new and popular hearing instruments and supplies from the top manufacturers and suppliers. Take those purchases you will make anyway and turn them into your best business decision of the year. The resale of your silent auction items can easily pay for all of your expenses to attend the convention. Don’t miss your chance to make money and help THAA at the same time. All proceeds go to the THAA general operating fund.
Hotel Room Reservations
This year’s showcase event will be held at the InterContinental Houston, one of the premier four-star hotels in the exclusive Galleria shopping and restaurant area in west Houston. You can book your hotel room directly with the hotel by calling 713-627-7600. THAA has reserved a block of 
rooms at a reduced rate of $109 per night, single or double occupancy. Rooms are available on a first-come, first-serve basis until May 30. Once this room block is sold, or after May 30, the convention room rate will increase significantly. We encourage all members to reserve their hotel rooms in advance - even if you have not yet made a final decision to attend the convention.

Register before May 30 and take advantage of the lowest registration fees possible - $25 off the regular fee - $50 off the on-site registration fee. Sorry! THAA does not invoice or take credit card payments. Registration forms received without the proper payment will be returned.

Renewing Your License in June? No problem!
Dispensers renewing their license in June with the Texas State Licensing Committee will receive their CE certificates at the convention - in time to file their license renewal information with the Licensing Committee before the end of the month.
