THAA 2021 Virtual CE Conference
April 24 & May 15, 2021
10 hours of "live/classroom" CE on ZOOM video platform is free to all members!
(March 8, 2021) The THAA Board of Directors has announced the 10 hours of continuing education usually offered at the association's annual convention every June has been moved to an online THAA 2021 Virtual CE Conference - free of charge to all THAA members. "The ongoing uncertainty of the pandemic and of the current vaccine distribution program have again made it impossible to proceed with preparations for an annual convention and trade show this year," said THAA President Chris Bisel. "Moving the convention CE hours to a virtual platform will guarantee members a safe and easy way to obtain the in-person hours required for future license renewals."

Despite the pandemic, all licensed hearing aid dispensers are still required to obtain 20 hours of continuing education during their 24 month license renewal period with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation - with at least 10 of those hours coming from live courses - not recorded online programming. TDLR has recently ruled that live virtual CE programs — like the THAA 2021 Virtual CE Conference — will count as required live hours toward license renewal.
